Happy Birthday Mom (Letters To my Mom)
Mommy,
Today marks your 56th birthday, and it's hard to believe that it has been almost four years since you left us. I can't begin to express how much I miss you, and how your absence has left an immense void in my heart. On days like today, I wish more than anything that we could be together, sipping Blackberry Sangrias at Carrabbas, laughing, and celebrating your special day.
As much as I know you're in a better place, it's difficult not to be selfish and wish that you were still here with us. I miss your warm hugs, and the sound of your infectious laughter that would light up any room. You were a beacon of light in my life, and your unwavering love and support have made me who I am today.
In your honor, I have built a business that stands as a tribute to your legacy. I want to help others who have experienced the pain of losing a loved one, as I understand all too well how difficult that journey can be. You have always been my inspiration, and I hope to carry on your legacy by helping others in need.
I am also happy to share that I have finally left the toxic relationship I was in, and I've met someone who I know you would have adored. She brings so much happiness to my life, and I can't help but think that you had a hand in guiding me towards her. I truly believe that you would be so proud to see the person I have become.
Unfortunately, things have not been smooth with Demetri, and we're not talking at the moment. I know this would disappoint you, but I hope that one day we can mend our relationship and come together as brothers again. Silver is well, she had a daughter named Lyric, and she is trying to be the best mom she can be. We spoke a few months back and she says she is getting better and that she is trying to be sober and clean and I believe she wants to do so to honor your memory you would be proud.
Mom, I met K Rose, and she's an incredible, strong, and beautiful young woman. I am so grateful for the opportunity to build a friendship and relationship with her one day, and I can't help but think about how proud you would be of her too, She is a special person and the world is a better place because of her.
Your friends have been a tremendous source of support, helping me to pick myself up and become a better man. They remind me of your strength, your kindness, and your unwavering love for those around you.
I miss you every single day, Mom. As I continue to navigate this world without you, I carry your love, your wisdom, and your memory with me. I hope that I am making you proud, and that you can see from wherever you are how much of an impact you have had on my life.
Sending you all my love, today and always until we meet again.
Your loving son, Serg
