God is Real

Hello Again,

Today, after finishing work, I had the opportunity to enjoy a drive, a simple pleasure that led me to a local convenience store for a cold drink. As I walked through the door, I was greeted by the clerk who asked how my day was going. “Blessed,” I replied. Her reaction was unexpected—a slight pause, a hesitant “um okay,” followed by a chuckle. “Blessed by God or something?” she joked. I affirmed, “Absolutely,” which only led to a louder cackle from her as she said, “Okay.” This exchange, brief as it was, left a lasting impression on me. It made me reflect deeply on the current state of our society where, for many, God seems to have become a subject of disbelief. It’s disheartening to witness the ease with which the sacred is sidelined in casual conversation.

For me, affirming my blessing is a recognition of the divine hand at work in my life. It’s an acknowledgment of my faith that I share openly, embracing the truth of a creator who crafted us in His likeness, who walked among us, and who sacrificed for our salvation. This belief is not just a comforting thought; it is the cornerstone of my existence, providing purpose and direction. Yet, in moments like these, it’s clear that expressing such beliefs can be met with resistance or mockery. It underscores a broader cultural shift where spiritual dialogue is often misunderstood or dismissed outright. This reaction is perhaps a symptom of wider issues—a disconnect with the spiritual and an unease with discussions of faith.

In a world filled with diverse beliefs and perspectives, it’s crucial that we strive for understanding and respect in matters of faith. Conversations about God and spiritual experiences should not be taboo or treated with contempt but should be opportunities for meaningful dialogue. It’s important for those of us who hold our beliefs dear to share them, not with the intent to proselytize, but to enlighten and to offer a glimpse into the profound impact faith can have on a person’s life.

This experience has reinforced my resolve to be more vocal about my faith, to share the depth and the beauty of this divine truth more fervently. It is a call to action not only for myself but for others who find themselves marginalized in their expressions of faith. Let us be courageous, sharing our stories and our truths with gentleness and respect, fostering a culture of understanding rather than division.

God is real. God isn’t a joke. And in the moments of our everyday lives, whether they’re as mundane as a trip to the store or as profound as a life-changing event, we find the traces of the divine. These moments are reminders, calling us back to the essential truths of our existence, urging us to remember that we are part of something far greater than ourselves.

In closing, I encourage everyone to reflect on how we discuss and live out our faith in daily interactions. Let’s choose to be builders of bridges rather than barriers, nurturing a world that embraces spiritual diversity with open hearts and minds.

Stay blessed,

Sergio
